Student Opportunities Coordinator (Volunteering)
12 month Fixed Term Contract
14 hours per week (flexibility required)
£9326 per annum pro rata (£23,315 FTE)

Our volunteering opportunities broaden the ARU student experience, offering students the chance to make a real difference to the lives of others and stand out from the crowd with experiences that build confidence and develop skills. We’re looking for a Volunteer Coordinator to join our team on campus in Chelmsford on a fixed term maternity cover contract.
What you will be doing
- Supporting the development and implementation of student-led projects
- Building relationships with local and national organisations, enabling them to join our growing Brokerage Service.
- Assisting in sourcing a wide range of ongoing and one off opportunities that support students and staff to make an impact on their local community.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of recognition structures including certification and accreditation.
- Assisting in the delivery of events which promote volunteering and giving back to the community.
What we’re looking for
- Experience building relationships with a diverse range of personnel
- Sound understanding of customer service
- Ability to coordinate events
- Patience, enthusiasm and the ability to motivate others
Skills that will help you
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Time management and prioritising skills

This role will be based at the Chelmsford campus.
