PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

As a Course Representative, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the student experience. Each tutor group or year group has a dedicated rep who acts as the bridge between students and faculty. Your main goal? Ensure that every student's voice is heard and that their concerns and suggestions are addressed.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE OF of Course Rep

As a Course Rep, you'll have a range of important responsibilities, including:

  • Attending Committee Meetings: You'll represent your peers at these meetings, presenting feedback to faculty staff and advocating for changes that will improve the student experience.
  • Signposting Students to Support Providers: Be the go-to person for your peers, guiding them to the appropriate support services when they need help.
  • Listening to Feedback: Actively seek out and listen to the feedback and concerns of your fellow students, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met.
  • Join your Student Voice Assembly: Represent your fellow students at meetings with campus and portfolio officers, run campaigns, vote on things that matter to your peers, and get involved in opportunities to help shape your Union.
