The Optics Society provides Optometry and Ophthalmic Dispensing students with academic support as well as a chance to get involved in a range of fun events and activities organised throughout the year!
This includes social events like games nights and ice skating, academic events like the instrument fair and revision sessions, as well as our most anticipated annual event of the year “The Eyeball”. Networking is a key part of Optics society and throughout the year we provide opportunities for students to socialize not only with students involved in optometry but also those in different sectors within Optics.

All Clubs and Societies must hold elections for their new committee members. The newly elected committees will take office on August 01, 2026.
