Whether you’re looking to relax, stretch, or get a great workout, our Yoga classes with our brilliant instructor, Arvesha, are open to all abilities and a brilliant way to unwind, boost fitness, and meet new people. Mats are provided, so just bring water (and a warm top for the cooldown!).
Membership is open to current ARU students, with limited associate memberships available for others – contact the committee for details. We can’t wait to welcome you to a session!
When and where? Yoga classes are on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 18:00 to 19:30, in Young Street 130, (48 Young St, Cambridge CB1 2LZ; What3words: ///gift.colleague.copy).
What are the classes like? Sessions are in-person for all abilities with our wonderful instructor Arvesha. They are generally a mix of flow and deep stretch. All equipment is provided.
What shall I wear? Wear comfortable clothes that you can move and stretch freely in.
How do I become a member? The only thing you need to do to join the society and start joining classes is buying a £5 membership. We charge for memberships to pay for equipment and to subsidise the class cost. In the 'MEMBERSHIPS' menu to your right, select the membership option and continue to checkout.
How do I book a class? First off, you need to be a member, so if you're not, then see the question above. Once you're a member, you can book a £3 class by selecting the class you want to join in the 'PRODUCTS AND MERCH' menu on the right of this page. The class tickets go out the week of the class and are removed at the end of the same week. Alternatively, you can ask at the SU office and they will book you into a session.
