Using the Messaging Centre

The messaging centre is a great way to reach all the students on your course for their feedback or to let them know of upcoming events.

THE MESSAGING CENTRE

Upon opening you will be greeted with a dashboard for managing cohort messaging.

When clicking on new email, you may be asked to select the organisation you would like to send an email for, if there are multiple showing please select your department as opposed to a society or generic group.

You can then select your email as the "from" and "reply to" emails.

You can then click on to, and select a group of reciepients, depending on who you are targeting.

Then you can fill out the email as normal, specifying a Subject, body and attaching any files you need to attach.

Please also select the "Track this email" box

Once an email has been written, you can send it using the button at the bottom

SITE ADMIN

An alternative way to access the messaging admin is via the "Site Admin" button at the top of the page or in the dropdown site menu.

Upon clicking this button, you will find the name of your department at the bottom of the menu.

You can then click that button, and you are greeted with the organisation management page, if you scroll down and click on "Messages"

From here you can see all previous emails, and you can click on "Send Email" at the top.

You can then select your email as the "from" and "reply to" emails.

You can then click on to, and select a group of reciepients, depending on who you are targeting.

Then you can fill out the email as normal, specifying a Subject, body and attaching any files you need to attach.

Please also select the "Track this email" box

Once an email has been written, you can send it using the button at the bottom
