The Committee Hub

An invoice can take up to two weeks to process. For an invoice to be sent on the next payment run, it will need to be send to the Societies Finance Inbox (socsfinance@angiastudent.com) on the Monday to meet the University deadline on the Wednesday.

This gives staff the time to process the payment. Remittance and funds will then be sent through over the following week to the recipient.

We cannot speed up this process! So it is important to send your invoice as soon as possible.

To submit an invoice to us, please email socsfinance@angliastudent.com with the PDF invoice. It MUST include the following:

• Company Name
• Company Address
• Company e-mail address
• VAT Number (if VAT registered)
• Bank Account Name
• Bank Account Sort Code
• Bank Account Number

The person or company you are purchasing from must also be a registered company, or registered self-employed.

From submission, a BACS form can take between 2 to 3 weeks to be processed and paid back into your account from the point of submission.

As the form must be updated and processed by a member of our campus team before being sent to University Finance who arrange the payment.

Submit a Student Purchase Form to the societies finance email (found on the form) with all the details of the items you are looking to purchase.

Your unique club/society code can be found in a blue bar at the top of your society finance spreadsheet. More details around finance codes can be found here.

Sign in to the Union website and access the club/society admin tools in the top right of the screen or the drop-down menu on mobile.

Room bookings require a minimum of 1 weeks’ notice. This gives the Campus Team time to process your booking and find any alternatives if required.

Guest Speaker applications must follow the time requirements set out by the University. All ARU staff or external visitors looking to give a talk at the university via the Students’ Union must have a guest speaker form submitted by the club or society.

The deadlines for these applications are:

• Internal guest speaker applications (ARU Staff) have a 2-week minimum
• External guest speaker applications (All other visitors) have a 4-week minimum

The Activities Dashboard is for committees and the campus teams to arrange bookings for events. This is a “private” platform that we use to arrange room bookings and guest speaker forms.

The Events Admin is where committees advertise their events and sell tickets via the website. What you add to the Events Admin will be shown as an active event on the Union website for students to attend.
