Get ready for the ultimate pub golf challenge in collaboration with the ARU Podcast Society!
We will be taking on 8 iconic Cambridge pubs
Prepare for silly hats, stupid forfeits, friendly competition and for us to judge your drinking abilities (just kidding we aren't that mean) :P
THE ROUTE
5pm - Meet outside aru
5:30 - 6 - The Cambridge Blue
6 - 6:30 - The Alex
6:45 - 7:15 - The Blue Moon
7:30 - 8 - The Clarendon Arms
8:30 - 9 - The King Street run
9 - 9:30 - The Champion of the Thames
9:30 - 10 - The Cambridge Brew House
10:30 - midnight - The Regal
THE RULES
- One pint of beer / cider per pub (unless specified otherwise)
- Each pub will be scored based on the par
- Par 4 = you must drink the pint in 4 ‘gulps’
- The designated non-drinking referee will be keeping track of you all :P
- If you’re a phone goblin at a pub = +1 point
- If you spill a drink = +2 points
- If you throw up = +5 points 😛
Each person will be paired with a drinking buddy - keep track of each other’s scores and drinking and make sure you’re both okay <33
Scorecards and silly hats will be provided !!
THE FORFEITS
The pair with the worst score at each pub will have to complete the forfeit at the next location...
- Drink the next pint with your non-dominant hand
- Drink the next pint on one leg
- Handcuffed to your drinking partner at the next pub
- You must call everyone ‘chief’
- Get a high five from everyone at the next pub
- We will post embarrassing pics of you on the society instas 😛
- We will put you in an embarrassing outfit
- The overall losers will deliver an ‘acceptance’ speech at the final pub
THE WATER HAZARD
Stop number 4 (The Clarendon Arms) will be classed as a ‘water hazard’
What is a water hazard I hear you ask?? If you need a piss at this pub - you must take a shot to leave the pub or we will desert you forever (joking ofc)
THE BUNKER
Stop number 7 (King Street Brewhouse) will be classed as ‘the bunker’
What is the bunker I hear you ask?????? To leave this pub and progress on the course - you must have a shot! :O

Tickets will be £1 for members & non-members just to cover the cost of the silly hats 😛 Available on the SU website (to the right look over there)

Photography and Filming at Events
It is likely that at ARU Students' Union events photography or filming will take place. At all ticketed events by purchase of the ticket you agree that you are happy for any video footage, stills or photographs taken during the event to be used on ARU Students' Union's online platforms or in print to publicise ARU Students' Union for commercial and fundraising purposes including, but not limited to, television broadcasts, advertising, publications, marketing material, personalised direct mail and other documents that may be made available to the public.
In the case of non-ticketed events, your attendance acts as agreement to the above. If you do not wish to be filmed the photographer/videographer should be informed at the start of the event.
