Yllirian Albanian Dance is a student society dedicated to preserving and celebrating Albanian culture through traditional dance. We teach simple, structured steps and choreographies from all Albanian regions, creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for both beginners and experienced dancers. Our focus is on making traditional dance accessible while honouring its cultural depth and regional diversity.
Our sessions combine movement, culture, and wellbeing, offering students a fun way to exercise, de-stress, and reset from academic life. Through dance, members improve coordination, fitness, and confidence, while enjoying a supportive social atmosphere that encourages self-expression and connection.
Beyond weekly classes, we aim to bring students together and build community through cultural events, performances, workshops, and collaborations. We actively support Albanian cultural initiatives and student-led events, ensuring our traditions are not only remembered, but kept alive, shared, and celebrated within the university and beyond.
