Tri 3 course Feedback Forums:
In June/July we held our third and final forum for the academic year of 2025/26. We had 10 students share their feedback. They were separated into two groups, below are the key themes from each meeting:
NURMID (Nursing and Midwifery & DGAs), HESC (Primary Education):
Students were extremely appreciative of responsive staff and how all of their feedback last trimester was heard and responded to.
Areas for improvement:
- Adding some practical elements to content heavy lectures.
- Students should be aware of the uniform amnesty where students can swap and exchange their uniform on campus.
- NURMID would like better communication between the university and placement teams.
- Having some more revision sessions and practice OSCEs for students doing these for the first time.
Action have been assigned to staff to resolve these areas of concern and students will be updated accordingly.
BIE (Healthcare Leadership) DGAs (Supply Chain Management, Surveying, Construction, Environmental Management, CRSP):
Students were very happy with the engagement from staff with their feedback from the last trimester. They were happy with knowledgeable and supportive staff.
Areas for improvement:
- Using different platforms (Canvas, ARU App, Aptem etc) to access things can be confusing, a guide on what to use each thing for would be appreciated.
- Add in more discussion time to workshops.
- Supply chain management students were concerned about their CIPS accreditation.
Actions have been assigned to staff to resolve these areas of concern and students will be updated accordingly.
