The Union Advice service received 80 requests for support with suspected Academic Misconduct - Union. last Trimester. These ranged from poor referencing through to students allegedly taking revision notes into the exam room.
We are a non judgmental service. If you have been caught cheating in an exam we will support you through the process but, for your own peace of mind and for your studies, its best that you don't.

The consequences of cheating in an exam can impact your final grade, progression and at the more serious end of the scale, potentially result in expulsion from your studies if you have repeated allegations of academic misconduct.
Academic misconduct will not appear on your transcript but it will appear on your student record. It really isn't worth the risk!
Don’t be tempted to take unauthorised material into the exam room.
Don't be tempted to store revision notes that could be accessed during the exam.
Don't be tempted to take a look at the work from those around you, similarities in answers (even wrong ones!) are a huge flag.
