Welcome to the Afro-Caribbean Medical Society (ACMS)!
ACMS is an inclusive, student-led community bringing together students across medicine, healthcare and related courses at ARU.
We celebrate Afro-Caribbean representation within healthcare while welcoming students from all backgrounds. Whether you're just starting university or further into your course, ACMS is a place to meet new people, broaden your network and make the most of your time at ARU.
Network — Build meaningful connections with students across courses and year groups, as well as professionals from across healthcare.
Equity — Champion Afro-Caribbean representation and help create a community where students feel represented, included and supported.
Opportunity — Give members greater exposure to experiences, people and opportunities that support their academic, personal and professional development.
Throughout the year, expect a mix of socials, guest speakers, networking and career events, clinical & academic sessions, workshops and collaborations with other societies.
Whether you're looking to meet new people, learn something new, explore your future career or simply be part of the community, we'd love to have you involved.
Network • Equity • Opportunity
