Representation

WHAT ARE STUDENT REPS

Each student at ARU has the opportunity to provide feedback on all aspects of the student experience. Reps are students who gather this feedback and present it to who it needs to go too. This could be academics, library staff, Union Staff, facilities and much more.

COURSE REPS

Course Reps are the voice of their course. They gather feedback from fellow students, represent that feedback at Student-Staff Liaison Committees (SSLCs), and work with academic staff to improve the course experience. It's one of the most direct ways a student can shape teaching, assessment, and the wider course environment

SCHOOL REPS

School Reps sit above Course Reps in the rep structure, representing the collective student voice across an entire school. They support and coordinate the Course Reps within their school, escalate cross-course or systemic issues, and represent students at School-level meetings and committees. It's a step up for students who want broader influence over their academic experience and some light leadership responsibility.
