ARU Resus Council is a student led project designed to boost awareness and increase the chances of survival from cardiac arrest through CPR and basic life support training in the local community. Sadly, statistics show that only 10 per cent of people who have a cardiac arrest outside of hospital survive. We believe that everybody should have the skills to potentially save a life.
We have collaborated with Professor Tom Keeble, Dr Mehak Tahir and Dr Uzma Sajjad at the Cardiothoracic Centre in Basildon, who are all committed to improving cardiac arrest outcomes.
If you are interested in volunteering and gaining experience in teaching life saving skills to the local community we would love for you to join us!
