The Anaesthetics & ICU Society aims to give students greater exposure to anaesthetics, intensive care and perioperative medicine throughout medical school. We want to make these specialties accessible, practical and exciting, with opportunities to develop skills and explore careers beyond what students may experience in the core curriculum.
Throughout the year, we plan to run hands-on clinical skills sessions, airway and emergency simulations, careers talks, teaching from clinicians, social events and collaborative opportunities, as well as our involvement in the EAST Conference. Whether you're already considering anaesthetics or ICU, interested in emergency and acute care, or simply want to build confidence with practical skills, the society is open to all year groups and all levels of experience.
