PTSD Awareness Campaign
Tuesday 16 June 2026
10:00 – 15:00 Main Atrium, UHP

Join the Peer Wellbeing Mentors for our PTSD Awareness Campaign, helping to raise awareness and understanding around Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and mental wellbeing.

PTSD can affect people in many different ways, and awareness campaigns play an important role in creating a supportive and understanding community.

Throughout the campaign, students can access information, wellbeing resources, and supportive conversations focused on mental health and available support services.

During the campaign there will be a range of calming and interactive activities including:
PTSD Myths vs Facts
Tea & Talk conversations
“You Are Not Alone” message wall
Hope Tree with encouraging messages
Stress balls and wellbeing resources

The campaign aims to encourage open discussions around mental health and wellbeing, reduce stigma, and remind students that support is available.

Students are welcome to stop by, learn more about PTSD awareness, and connect with the ARU community in a safe and welcoming environment.

ARU Peer Wellbeing Mentors are current students who provide wellbeing campaigns, peer support, and information about ARU Counselling and Wellbeing Services. They are here to support students and help signpost to appropriate services when needed.
