The Trainee Advanced Practitioner Placement is designed for individuals aged 18+ who are interested in gaining structured, CV relevant experience while supporting Black mental health. The placement gives trainees the opportunity to support with areas such as service delivery, pathway tasks, workshops, group sessions, observation, shadowing, administrative support and, where appropriate, supervised client-facing activity.

Trainees will receive a structured induction, supervision and support, and a named programme contact throughout their time with Black Minds Matter UK. The aim is to create a meaningful learning opportunity while also supporting the development of our wider mental health pathways.

We are also currently looking for general volunteers who would like to support Black Minds Matter UK more broadly. This could include helping at events, supporting community outreach, assisting with workshops, providing admin support and helping behind the scenes. This would be a great opportunity for anyone who wants to get involved, gain experience and support our work within the community.
