Exam Room 101: What to Do, What to Avoid, and How Not to Panic

Make sure you are exam ready.  The university has published lots of useful information at  Sitting your exams.  

 

  • Check the types of equipment that are permitted in the exam e,.g calculators. The examination rubric specifies what is permitted. 

  • Make sure you arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of your exam. 

  • Make sure you know the location of your exam before you set off. Check your Examination Timetable to make sure you have the right exam details. Spotted an error, contact your faculty administrator.  

  • Remember your student ID! 

  • Check that your travel plans aren’t delayed, whether public transport or by your own vehicle. Aim to arrive earlier than you usually would.  

  • You will not be admitted more than 30 minutes after the start of your exam.
