Chelmsford students deserve more than being an afterthought.
I’m standing for Chelmsford Officer to make sure our campus has a clear, loud, and respected voice in the Students’ Union.
Too often, campus-specific issues get lost in Union-wide discussions. I will act as the formal representative for Chelmsford students, making sure our concerns are raised, heard, and acted on — not just noted and forgotten.
What I will do
1. Be your voice at Union level
I will actively represent Chelmsford students in Union decision-making, ensuring that issues affecting our campus are properly advocated for and followed through until real outcomes are achieved.
2. Push for Chelmsford-first solutions
Chelmsford is not the same as other campuses — and our needs shouldn’t be treated the same. I will work closely with Portfolio Officers to ensure Chelmsford-specific priorities are reflected in Union-wide initiatives, policies, and strategies.
3. Stronger connection between students and the Union
Many students feel disconnected from the Union. I’ll change that by creating clear communication channels, regular updates, and accessible opportunities for students to share concerns, ideas, and feedback.
4. Increase student engagement on campus
I will support and promote opportunities for Chelmsford students to engage with the Union through events, campaigns, and consultations that actually matter to them — not just tick-box activities.
5. Accountability, not empty promises
I believe in transparency. I will keep students informed about what’s being raised on their behalf, what progress is being made, and where challenges remain.
Why me?
I’m committed, approachable, and ready to challenge decisions that don’t work for Chelmsford students. I won’t just represent the role — I’ll do the work.
