Prashant Thanikal
I am currently studying Master’s in International Marketing at ARU London, and in 2024 I completed my Pre-Master’s in Business Management at the University of Surrey. Studying in different universities has helped me understand business, international markets, and how important global connections are for students today.
During my time at university, I have also had the opportunity to serve as a Class Representative and currently work as a Student Ambassador in London. These roles have allowed me to listen closely to students, understand their concerns, and support them in improving their university experience. This experience has encouraged me to stand for President.
One thing I truly value about ARU is that students come from many different countries and backgrounds. When we work together in class discussions and group projects, I realised how much potential exists among us. We are not only studying together — we are building relationships that could become future career opportunities, business partnerships, or lifelong friendships.
Today, many businesses are becoming online and global. After graduation, students may work or trade between countries, start startups, or build digital businesses together. The connections we make during university can play a very important role in that future.
This inspired my idea called NEXORA, which focuses on students connecting, collaborating, and supporting each other beyond academics.
My Key Priorities
1. Student Collaboration Through Nexora
- Encouraging students from different courses to connect and share ideas.
- Creating opportunities for collaboration that may lead to future careers or businesses.
- Building a strong “students supporting students” culture.
2. Career and Business Opportunities
- Supporting networking and skill-sharing opportunities.
- Encouraging entrepreneurship and business discussions among students.
- Helping students think beyond graduation.
3. Preparing for an AI-Driven Future
The world is changing rapidly with AI and technology.I want students to stay informed, adaptable, and ready for future industries.
4. Supporting International and Home Students
As an international student myself, I understand the challenges of adapting to a new environment. I want ARU to feel welcoming and connected for everyone.
5. Stronger ARU Community Across Campuses
ARU has campuses across the UK, which creates great opportunities for wider student connections and collaboration.
Final Vision
I believe ARU is a place where global ideas come together. If elected, I want to help create a community where students grow together, support each other, and build opportunities for the future.
Vote Prashant Thanikal for President.
