A MANIFESTO FOR REAL CHANGE
WHY I'M RUNNING
I'm tired of watching good people give up because the system makes everything harder than it needs to be.
I've seen brilliant club ideas die in approval hell. Friends waiting months for counselling. Events that could've been amazing just... disappear. And nobody's connecting the dots between what you actually need and what the system delivers.
I'm running because I think we can do better. Together.
WHAT I'VE NOTICED
You feel unheard. Student government exists, but does it actually listen? Or just repeat the same things every year?
You're isolated. Campus should feel like home, not just a place you pass through.
You're anxious. About grades, the future, whether you're doing enough. And when you need help, it's either not there or impossible to access.
HERE'S WHAT I'LL DO
Fix counselling wait times. Set up peer support networks. Make it actually possible to get help without jumping through hoops.
Bring real campus life back - events you actually want to attend, not forced fun. Make clubs work without the bureaucracy. Connect you with people who genuinely care about your future.
Build systems that last. Better mental health support. Career connections that get you jobs. Spaces that don't feel like dungeons.
HOW I'M DIFFERENT
I'm not here to build a resume or make promises I can't keep. I'm here because I believe this place can be better, and I'm willing to do the unglamorous work to make it happen.
That means saying no when something won't work. Showing up even when it's not exciting. Admitting when I'm wrong. Actually following up instead of disappearing after the election.
WHAT I'M ASKING
Not just a vote. A conversation.
What's actually broken for you? What would make this place feel less like a grind? What have you given up on because the system made it too hard?
Tell me. That's how we figure out what actually matters.
THE REAL TALK
I can't fix everything. I can't make classes easier or solve every problem overnight.
But I can make the systems that exist actually work for you. I can make sure someone's listening. I can push for change where it's possible.
And I can show up. Consistently. Even when it's hard.
Let's talk. Tell me what's broken.
This isn't about me. It's about whether we accept things as they are, or build something better.
I'm betting on better.
